Handpound Briyani rice is prepared from the organically grown Seeraga Samba variety. It is a famous rice in South Indian Briyani festivals. The rice is boiled, dried and dehusked by removing only the outer shell, thus maintaining its rich nutrients and vitamins. It is hand pounded using the traditional Kunthani and Ulakkai which is a labour intensive process. The outer bran of rice is brown in color.
